New Patient First Treatment
Initial Consult, including Acupuncture Treatment
– Lasts up to 90 minutes and includes a detailed Health Intake, pulse and physical examination, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, herbal formula prescription and written diet recommendations (if necessary), and acupuncture treatment.
Initial Consult ( No Acupuncture treatment )
– Lasts 30-40 minutes and includes a detailed Health Intake, pulse and physical examination, diagnosis, and treatment course recommendations and/or referrals.
Follow Up Treatments
Acupuncture Follow Up
– Subsequent acupuncture treatments generally last about an hour and include a re-examination, patient progress report, and an acupuncture session. Includes adjustments to herbal/diet prescriptions, if appropriate. Herbs are sold separately.
Front Only, One-Step Acupuncture Treatment
– Subsequent acupuncture treatments generally last about an hour and include a reduced re-examination, patient progress report, and a front-only acupuncture session performed in a recliner chair. Does not include placement of needles on patient’s back. Includes adjustments to herbal/diet prescriptions, if appropriate. Herbs are sold separately.
PTSD/Addiction Ear Acupuncture – NADA five-point protocol for alleviation of symptoms of PTSD, withdrawal, and stress. Duration is generally between 45 minutes to an hour.
Labor Induction – This acupuncture protocol is used to encourage and prepare a woman for labor. Preparation can begin at week 37. The protocol is also used to induce labor around or after the baby’s due date.
Smoking Cessation Protocol – The protocol reduces stress and helps with detox, withdraw symptoms, and cravings.
*** NEW *** Battlefield Acupuncture – A form of auricular acupuncture using a very specific sequence of gold Aiguille semipermanente needles inserted into the ear. It can be very effective for reducing pain quickly, with few potential side-effects.

We accept cash, checks, Visa, Discover, American Express, and Mastercard.
Insurance
Many insurance companies are now covering acupuncture. Please check with your insurance company to see if you can be reimbursed. We require payment at the time of service.

Cancellation Policy
We know that life sometimes happens and you may have to make a change in your treatment schedule.
If you need to cancel an appointment, please do so a minimum of 24 hours in advance so that others needing treatment can take advantage of an open time slot. If you do not cancel 24 hours in advance, you will be charged a $30.00 missed appointment fee which will be collected at the time of your next treatment. As an alternative, you may provide 4 canned goods items (healthy food only, please) that will be denoted to the San Antonio Food Bank. Your cooperation and consideration are greatly appreciated.
