I specialize in acupuncture methods that combine gentleness with great
efficacy. My consultation style is client-centered and solution-focused as I
believe this is the best strategy for helping clients make positive changes
towards alleviating their health issues.

Why I'm an acupuncturist

Being an acupuncturist is not just a job for me; it's a vocation and a passion. I
love to help people who care about life enough to value their health and strive
to realize their potential.

My philosophy

I see people not only as they present themselves in illness, but more
importantly, as they would like to be in balance in every aspect of their lives.
The treatments I provide are aimed to help my clients move toward this
state of health and balance.

Education and professional life

I am a graduate of the New England School of Acupuncture, where I
completed the core curriculum in Chinese Acupuncture as well as studies in
the area of Japanese Acupuncture Styles and Chinese Herbal Medicine. I am
certified as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine by The National Certification
Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and am
licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Acupuncture Examiners.

Acupuncture & Natural Healing Therapies was formed in 2006 and it is
where I maintain my private clinical practice. The passion to open
Acupuncture & Natural Healing Therapies came from my desire and drive to
run a clinic that would encompass and reflect my belief in restoring balance in
one’s life. One of my goals is to educate, excite and raise consciousness about
the effectiveness of complementary health care practices.

Drawing upon the works of Kiko Matsumoto, Dr. Richard Tan, Shudo
Denmai, Yoshio Manaka, Tom Tam, other seasoned practitioners, and my
own clinical experience, I am developing a style of acupuncture that
incorporates effective clinical approaches from ancient as well as modern
acupuncture practices.

My style is very practical due to its focus on immediate palpable changes in
the patient's body. I pay particular attention to the relationship between
acupuncture and Western medical theories. Such a relationship is confirmed
through palpation as a means for verification of treatable acupuncture points.
Acupuncture points should be chosen only if they have a positive effect on the
body, verified by palpation, pulse-taking or other measurable changes.

In addition, I choose the intensity of the acupuncture treatment according to
the needs and preferences of my client. My methods range from
non-insertion techniques (utilizing "touching" needles, tiger warmers, lasers,
and magnets), to more stimulating practices ( using chinese needle
techniques, pachi-pachi, and electrical stimulation). The health and
well-being of my client is always my top priority.
